David Dibble is Chief Executive Officer of MSG Ventures, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sphere Entertainment Co. focused on developing advanced technologies for live entertainment across the MSG family of companies, which includes Sphere Entertainment, Madison Square Garden Entertainment Corp. (MSG Entertainment), and Madison Square Garden Sports Corp. (MSG Sports). In this role he is responsible for helping to advance MSG’s goal of delivering unique and compelling guest experiences across a diverse portfolio of venues and entertainment properties.
Sphere Entertainment is a premier live entertainment and media company, featuring Sphere – a next-generation entertainment medium that is redefining the future of live entertainment. Mr. Dibble oversees the development of audio, video, and connectivity technologies for Sphere venues that enables the creation of large-scale, immersive experiences. This includes identifying investment and partnership opportunities with companies that are utilizing technologies to redefine the way fans, artists, and athletes engage and connect. The first Sphere venue opened in Las Vegas in September 2023, and the Company is having discussions regarding the development of Sphere in other forward-thinking cities.
Mr. Dibble is also focused on enhancing the guest experience at MSG Entertainment’s collection of venues, which includes Madison Square Garden, The Theater at Madison Square Garden, Radio City Music Hall, Beacon Theatre, and The Chicago Theatre. MSG Entertainment also owns the original production, the Christmas Spectacular Starring the Radio City Rockettes. Mr. Dibble’s purview also extends to MSG Sports, where he develops technologies that amplify the in-game experience for the Company’s collection of assets, which includes the New York Knicks (NBA) and New York Rangers (NHL) franchises.
Mr. Dibble is a seasoned technologist and business leader with decades of experience developing and advancing sustainable technology platforms at massive scale across multiple industries. Before joining MSG in 2016, he was Chief Technology Officer of Cablevision Systems Corporation, where he guided the company’s technology infrastructure and enterprise-wide data architecture. This included leading the company’s corporate engineering, information technology, network operations and software teams, as well as overseeing a wide range of company systems, including its industry-leading Wi-Fi network, customer service information, corporate financial and business intelligence systems. He collaborated with the management team to fully leverage Cablevision’s industry leading Wi-Fi network, while also supporting the design and development of Cablevision’s various products and services.
Prior to his work at Cablevision, Mr. Dibble spent six years at Yahoo! serving in multiple executive roles. As Executive Vice President of Central Technology, he led all aspects of global technical infrastructure design, science, platforms, engineering and operations. During his tenure at Yahoo!, he also designed and built the world’s most efficient data center, and helped unify the central technology and core platforms groups into one team for improved efficiencies and greater alignment.
Previously, Mr. Dibble was Chief Technology Officer at First Data Corporation, a global electronic payment processing company, where he oversaw the creation and development of the technology strategy and governance framework. Prior to that, he held numerous senior technology positions at JPMorgan Chase & Co., Charles Schwab & Co., Fidelity Investments and FMC Corporation.
Mr. Dibble is an Advisory Board Member at Elementum SCM, a cloud-based supply chain upstart. He is a graduate of the University of Kansas, where he earned his B.S. in quantitative economics and completed three years of graduate studies in economics, mathematics, and computer science.
