Who are we hiring?  

The Specialist People Practices plays a vital role in the department, providing generalist support for Sphere employees in Burbank. Reporting to the VP People Practices, the Specialist will work closely with the entire Burbank People Practices team and the businesses they support to drive a meaningful employee experience for Burbank employees.   

What will you do?  

  • Oversees onboarding and offboarding activities for new employees
  • Obtains detailed information regarding any employee-related issues and informs appropriate management of the proper procedure to proceed, including employee relations investigations
  • Fields employee inquiries providing assistance and escalating to appropriate parties when necessary
  • Remains up to date with Sphere Employee Handbook, policies, and Marquee intranet system to assist employees
  • Creates hiring requisitions at direction of VP People Practices and Manager People Practices, and partners with business leaders and People Acquisition to navigate issues
  • Responsible for maintaining employee records in Human Capital Management system and Marquee intranet directory
  • Maintains organizational charts on a rolling basis and creates organizational charts for proposed org structure changes
  • Support wider People Partners & Development team in organizing department meetings and facilitating trainings
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned by VP People Practices

What do you need to succeed?  

  • Minimum 3+ years of HR experience preferably in a Studio environment or related field of work
  • Four-year degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of human resources processes and best practices
  • Excellent verbal & written communication, strong interpersonal/customer service, organizational and time management skills required
  • Must be able to multi-task and prioritize in a deadline-oriented environment
  • Possess exceptional attention to detail and strong follow-up skills
  • Must have the ability to work independently when necessary, and use sound business judgment
  • Demonstrates integrity, tact, diplomacy, and a commitment to company values and HR principles 
  • Must have strong problem solving, reasoning, motivational, and organizational abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
  • Exhibits curiosity about the business and excitement to take on new challenges
  • Takes an active and self-starting approach to goals and tasks, identifying what needs to be done and acting before being asked.

Pay Range
$65,000$95,000 USD
