Catering Attendant (Part-Time)

Who are we hiring?
The Catering Attendant is responsible for the execution of daily catering operations and special events throughout Sphere managed by manager and/or supervisor on duty. All catering functions are carried out according to event order specifications as communicated by manager and/or supervisor. This individual also assists with general and event-related questions while exhibiting a warm, friendly and professional demeanor to build relationships that will enhance the guest experience.
What will you do?
- Set up and execute assigned catering responsibilities by locations, maintain cleanliness of spaces during event and clean up catering areas at event conclusion; report any maintenance issues in a timely fashion.
- Take accurate guest food and beverage orders, set up product upon delivery and prepare beverages as requested.
- Maintain presence during catering events and address any guest questions or concerns, escalating to Manager and/or Supervisor as needed.
- Ability to multi-task between various locations and event functions.
- Ensure highest level of professionalism and hospitality is achieved in working with all types of clienteles.
- Ensure all disposables, beverages and F&B service equipment are up to par/functional both pre- and post-event.
What do you need to succeed?
- General knowledge of all catering equipment, room set up and event execution.
- Previous Food & Beverage experience in a front of house role within a high-end restaurant, hotel or arena/stadium catering environment.
- Extensive Food & Beverage product knowledge.
- Proven ability to listen, understand and communicate effectively and to follow written instructions with precision.
- Passion for guest service and ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable working independently with minimal direction and as part of a large team.
- Experience using POS system.
Special Requirements
- Able to walk and stand during the entire shift.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, have split days off, work weekends and holidays in a 24 X 7 environment.
