Who are we hiring?

The Coordinator of Event Sales will support the Director on the Events Sales team with the implementation, production and execution of wide-ranging events that are conducted in conjunction with custom experiences booked annually at Sphere. The Coordinator will also perform administrative responsibilities relating to on-going events and projects at Sphere.

This position will be responsible for answering phone calls and written correspondence from outside entities and maintaining and organizing department files and event analysis reports. With assistance and direction from Director of Event Sales, this position will assist with the production and coordination of event-related tasks. The Coordinator will also be responsible for maintaining databases, data entries for prospecting lists, capturing customer interactions, processing invoices, tracking event expenses and assisting with the budget process.

What will you do?

  • Assist with preparing documents relating to the event sales process. 
  • Maintenance of departmental records, including but not limited to, prospecting files and Event lists, budgets, and event files.
  • Work with team on creation and maintenance of post-event analyses. 
  • Responsible for maintaining and organizing electronic event portfolio through the gathering and documentation of details and photos from each event. 
  • Assist with event needs, travel coordination, conference scheduling, special projects and other duties as assigned. 
  • Administrative duties (as assigned): answering phones, fulling travel and expense requests, filing, etc.
  • Collaborate on business projects to meet business objectives.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Ability to work both corporate hours plus event hours, inclusive of evenings and weekends. 

What do you need to succeed?

  • 1-2 years’ experience in event management, event planning, hotel sales, entertainment sales, or sports sales.  
  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality administration, Business, or equivalent work experience 
  • Detail-oriented self-sufficient individual with great interpersonal skills. 
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. 
  • Ability to work as a team within various groups and departments in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Maintain composure under pressure and consistently meet deadlines with internal and external customers and contacts.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact appropriately and effectively with guests, management, other team members, and outside contacts.
  • Extensive computer skills – with intensive knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Special Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs. 
  • Ability to sit, walk, stand, stretch, bend, and kneel for prolonged periods of time.
  • Travel Requirements: up to 10%

Pay Range
$50,000$65,000 USD
